Anthem will not offer Small Group Affordable Care Act (ACA) health coverage in Ohio after December 31, 2026. For groups on these plans, coverage will end when their current policies end.
No immediate action is needed by you or your clients. Their coverage will continue, and their employees will have full access to their health benefits, until the end of their current policy.
We will send legally required notices to affected employer groups letting them know about this change. The notice will direct them to work with their broker to identify new options for their employees’ health coverage for plans renewing in 2027. In addition, we will mail legally required notices to impacted members letting them know about this change and directing them to contact their employer with any questions.
Please note that quoting these plans will be unavailable in the quote to enroll tool in Producer Toolbox effective June 26, 2026. Please work with your Anthem Sales Team for any quote needs after this date. Groups with specialty (dental and/or vision) will receive renewals for those lines of coverage and can continue those benefits as stand-alone coverage.
