We’re sharing this information in case you have clients in the impacted areas.

We’re making temporary changes to health plan benefits to provide relief and ensure healthcare access for members impacted by the winter storm emergency in MD, NY, and CT.

The changes are in effect for the following states for members who have Anthem group health plans through their employer or Anthem individual and family plans:

  • Connecticut (entire state) February 22 through March 24, 2026
  • Maryland (entire state) February 22 through March 24, 2026
  • New York (for the following counties) February 21 through March 23, 2026: Albany, Bronx, Columbia, Delaware, Dutchess, Greene, Kings, Nassau, New York, Orange, Otsego, Putnam, Queens, Rensselaer, Richmond, Rockland, Schenectady, Schoharie, Suffolk, Sullivan, Ulster, Westchester, and contiguous counties

The changes are also for emergency responders who have been assigned to the area by their state or local agency but do not live in the impacted area.

We want to make sure your clients and their members have access to the healthcare they need. We can help with finding available doctors, refilling prescription drugs, and other health plan questions. For assistance during the emergency, members can call the Member Services number on their member ID card.
